Many square miles of open, public desert, located
around Inyokern/Ridgecrest, CA. Flat sandy terrain with scrub brush
and cactus. Blacktailed Jackrabbit (lepus californicus) are hunted. |

History |
Started in 1994, Kingsbury Harriers is a privately owned and hunted
pack, but the public are welcome to join John for a day's hunting -
just call for directions!
The hounds hunt from mid-October through March, depending on weather
(some seasons may start/end earlier or later depending on when the
heat of the desert dissipates enough for the hounds to be safely
hunted).
The pack is recognized by the National Beagle Club, and is the only
recognized Harrier pack in the US currently.
When John isn't hunting the hounds, Donna is busy showing them, and
most of the hounds are also AKC Champions. |
