Country |
Combination of hill country, forestry and farmland from the Black
Mountains to Neath valleys, Swansea valley and the spectacular Gower
peninsula. Hilly and wide open heather land. |
|
History |
Founded in 1962, registered in 1963. The first home of the hunt was
in a small mining village in Banwen, at the top of the Neath Valley.
The first kennels were located in a disused lamproom of the village
pit, kindly loaned to the hunt by the late Sir David Evans-Bevan.
Founded as a true "working man's pack", the Banwen has been at the
forefront of the hunting debate since its inception. |
