Hunt country: The country occupies an area approximately 15 by 30 miles from the southwest edge of the Patuxent river in Montgomery County. It is rolling crop land with large expanses of wooded coverts containing many streams and water crossings. Obstacles are numerous coops and some rails and stone walls.
History: Originally founded in 1957, Goshen continues its traditon as a landowner friendly hunt. Hounds are American with strong links to the Bywater strain with occasional outcrosses to Pennmarydel hounds. From the beginning of the hunt, a galloping thoroughbred type horse is preferred.
Guests are welcome at the invitation of the Masters.
